Our Mission
At Wabi Sabi-Hawaii, our mission is clear: to create clean, modern designs that beautifully harmonize ancient elements with contemporary concepts. We believe in authenticity, respect for tradition, and adding a fresh twist when blending the past with the present. Our goal is simple but profound—to create harmonious, balanced spaces that tell a captivating story. We are dedicated to continuous learning, immersing ourselves in the history of materials, and always placing the essence and functionality of a space at the forefront. Every design choice we make is intentional and intuitive. We aim to bring refined beauty into our clients' homes while embodying the spirit of Wabi Sabi, where imperfections transform into art and tranquility resides in the present moment.
Our Journey
Two years ago, our journey began with a passionate group of interior designers from all corners of Asia. We started by curating furniture packages for clients and new condominium builds, and thanks to the incredible feedback from our valued customers, we officially opened our doors to retail on August 1, 2023, at Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, HI. It's been an amazing journey so far, and we're excited to have you join us on this continuing adventure.
Our Inspiration
Our inspiration comes from the heart of Wabi Sabi, a design philosophy centered on simplicity, authenticity, and timelessness. At Wabi Sabi-Hawaii, we highlight the natural beauty of materials like FAS-grade wood with origins from North America and Europe and handcrafted stone and marble from Italy, ensuring each piece fits seamlessly into modern living. Our approach creates a delicate balance between the wisdom of the past and the contemporary desire for clean, harmonious spaces.
Our 5-Year Ambition
In the next five years, we envision becoming Hawaii's ultimate one-stop destination for homes. We aim to be your turn-key solution for refined living, offering high-quality small-scale furniture that transforms your space into a work of art.
